Obituary for James M. Christ
James Michael Christ, 57, formerly of Catasauqua and a resident of the Gino Merli Veteran’s Center, Scranton, Pa. passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2008 in Mercy Hospital, Scranton. Born in Catasauqua he was the son of the late Daniel L. Christ, Sr., and the late Catherine (Wilson) Christ. Mr. Christ was a graduate of the Catasauqua High School, Class of 1969. He served our country in the Air Force during the Viet Nam War as a Sergeant and Egress and Agress Technician, stationed in Thailand. Jim was last employed by Solar Technology, Inc., Allentown as a machinist. Surviving are his brother, Daniel L. husband of M. Beth Christ and niece, Emily Christ all of Kingston, Pa. He was preceded in death by a brother David G. Christ. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut Street in Catasauqua. A calling period will be held in the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Viet Nam Veterans Association c/o the Gino Merli Nursing Center 401 Penn Avenue Scranton, Pa. 18505.
