Obituary for James W. Finley
James W. Finley, 75, of Northampton, died Thursday October 12, 2023, with his loving family by his side at Lehigh Valley Hospital, after a difficult battle with cancer. He was the husband of Helen M. (Schuyler) Finley and celebrated 53 years of marriage together this past September. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Errold and Ethel (Miller) Finley.
Jim was a Catasauqua High School graduate. He was drafted into military service and spent a year in Vietnam, honorably serving his country in the US Army. He started his career working for Western Union. Jim went on to be the proud owner and operator of Micro Cottage Computers in Whitehall. He retired as the head of I.T. at ARC Maintenance after many years of service. Jim was also an avid Philadelphia Flyers and Eagles fan.
Above all Jim was a family man. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and his sons and granddaughters were his pride and joy.
Surviving along with his wife Helen, are his sons Christopher Finley and wife Tammy; Matthew Finley and husband Christopher Weisel and his granddaughters Madison and Julia.
Memorial services will be held at 11am Saturday October 21, 2023, at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. There will be a calling period from 10-11am at the funeral home. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to handle the arrangements.
