Obituary for Janet D. James
Janet D. James 78 years of Coplay, formerly of Catasauqua, died Thursday, August 30th, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of George F. James and they celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary on June 11th. Born in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Dorothy C. (Stewart) Finley.
Janet was a very active member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua. She worked for the Catasauqua School District in the administrative office for many years. She was a graduate of Catasauqua High School class of 1958 where she served as class treasurer. Janet loved to travel and was a very loving mother who always put others first.
Surviving are her sons David and his wife Angel and Chris and his wife Cindy; sister Carol, wife of Kenneth Holmes, Jr. grandchildren Maxwell, Michaela, Abigail and Tara, Drew and Colby; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two step brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, September 5th, 2018 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. Her viewing will be held from 10-11am Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
