Obituary for Janice P. Kern
Janice ‘“Jana” Kern, 87, of Catasauqua, died with her family by her side, Wednesday January 1, 2025. Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Francis J. and Evelyn (Hoch) Pascoe.
Janice was a Catasauqua High School graduate, class of 1955, and a former member of Salem U.C.C. Over the years, she worked for a variety of businesses in the Lehigh Valley, including Western Electric, Hess’s, Benner’s Market, and most recently, Clim-A-Temp.
Janice loved dancing and roller skating. With a Coca-Cola in hand, she hosted countless parties and picnics throughout the years for family and friends together. Her unwavering desire to cook and feed everyone who came through her door stands as a generosity that will be missed and remembered by all.
Surviving are her children Robbin Gruber and husband Rick, Willard Lee Kern, Jr., and Tracy Weghofer and husband Brian, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brothers Jack and Dennis Pascoe and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Colleen Kern.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday January 11, 2025, at 1:00 with a meal to follow at the Barn House Village 7401 Airport Rd. Bath.
