Obituary for Jean R. Danko
Jean R. Danko, 92 years of North Catasauqua died Friday September 30th, 2016 at her residence. Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Lewis H. and Lillian M. (Van Etten) Walker . She and her late husband Edward J. Danko celebrated 68 years together before his death in January 2015.

Jean was a member of St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church of North Catasauqua and St. Andrew’s Young at Heart Club. For over 50 years she enjoyed playing pinochle with close friends known as the ‘Club Girls’. Jean was an excellent baker and cook known for her cinnamon rolls and pierogis.

Surviving are her daughters: Danielle, wife of Robert Gilly; Deborah, wife of Joseph Casciotti; Barbara, wife of Robert Kennedy; Susan, wife of Dale Hein and Lisa, wife of Michael Casciotti. 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am Thursday, October 6th, 2016 at the former St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church, 1001 2nd Street, N. Catasauqua, PA 18032. Interment will be in St. John Fisher Calvary Cemetery of N. Catasauqua. There will be no calling hours prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice.
