Obituary for Jeanette S Koncz
Jeanette S. Koncz, 81 years of North Catasauqua, passed away on Sunday April 30th, 2017. She was the wife of Eugene E. Koncz for 61 years this past February.
Born in North Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Skiba) Moravek.
She was a graduate of Whitehall High School, Class of 1953.
She was employed in the office of Drs. Paul C. Balze and Laurence E. Wildrick and also Phoebe Nursing Home.
She was a member of St. John Fisher R.C. Church, N. Catasauqua, formerly St. Andrew R.C. Church, where she served on the Liturgy Committee, was a member of the Marian Guild and Altar & Rosary Society, and was also on the cleaning and pierogi crews. She also volunteered on the “Fish Program” for the Council of Churches of Catasauqua, Meals on Wheels and the Catasauqua YMCA.
Survivors include her husband, sons Kenneth and wife Andrea, and Lynn and wife Valerie, all of Whitehall, a grandson Matthew and a granddaughter Lauren. She was predeceased by a brother Francis Moravek.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Thursday, May 4th, 2017 at St. John Fisher R.C. Church 1229 Third St., N. Catasauqua, PA 18032. A viewing will be held from 7-8:30pm on Wednesday May 3rd at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., formerly Robert A. Hauke, Jr. Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037 and also from 8:30-9:30am on Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
