Obituary for Jeanne A. Marquette
Jeanne A. Marquette, 73, of Coplay, passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 15, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the beloved wife of Richard W. Marquette with whom she would have celebrated 47 years of beautiful marriage in January. Born in Allentown, raised in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Annabelle (Graver) Frederick.

Later moving to Cherryville, Jeanne was a 1965 Whitehall High School graduate and went on to further her education at Allentown Business School. She began work for PP&L April 7, 1969 later joining the Engineer Accounting Department. Married in 1975, she left PP&L in 1978 to raise her four daughters. After the children had grown, she returned to PP&L in June of 1993 to work in the newly formed Customer Contact Center, where she worked until retirement in November 2010.
Jeanne’s activities mostly centered about her daughters. She very much enjoyed being an active part of homework, projects, sport activities, costumes, dresses and seasonal events. She loved sewing and flower gardening. Above all, she was a wonderful wife, loving mother, and grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her loving husband, Richard, she is survived by four daughters, Claudine Mack and husband Ray of Schnecksville, Allison Marquette-Hamoudi and husband Lindsay of San Diego, CA. Adrienne Marquette and husband Brett of Ocean City, NJ. Aileen Lynch and husband Chris of Ocean City, NJ. Ten grandchildren: Connor, Madison, Sophia, Sebastian, Gloria, Finley, Isabella, Amelia, Cooper and Everly. Her brother Donald Frederick and wife Pat of Coplay and her sister Janice Frederick with Spencer of Dandridge,TN. She was predeceased by brother, Robert Frederick. Services will be held and announced at a later date at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made in Jeanne’s memory to her favorite charitable organization, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
