Obituary for Jill Martin
Jill Martin, 59 years, of Bokeelia, FL, died Friday June 22nd, 2018 at her daughters home in Coaldale, PA. She was the wife of Ken W. Martin of Florida and would have celebrated 16 years of marriage together this November. Formerly of Coplay, she was born in Allentown and was the daugther of the late Alois and Rose (Sommer) Holencik.
Jill was a Northampton High School graduate and a member of the painters union. Most recently she worked as a driver for Sovereign Health Care and enjoyed volunteering at Bootstrap Homeless Ministry. Jill was a creative person and enjoyed making arts and crafts. She also loved eating fresh seafood.
Surviving along with her husband Ken are her daughter Jamie Avate and her husband Scott Lapp; brothers Mark "Lefty" Holencik and his wife Betsy and Eric Holencik; sisters Susan and her husband Harold Sell, and Laura Holencik; grandchildren Ethan and Emily Rose Lapp, Paige and Carter Appleby, Liam, Dillon, and Sean Brophy and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Ruth Wuchter.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in her name payable to Bootstrap Homeless Ministry, 2691 NE Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral, Fl 33909. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Coplay are in charge of arrangements.
