Obituary for Joan C. Jacoby

Joan C. (Frisch) Jacoby, 77, of Coplay, passed away on February 12, 2023, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Allentown. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hermina (Walakovits) Frisch.


She is survived by five siblings, Bonita Makovsky, wife of the late Gerald Makovsky of Coplay, Veronica Kostenbader wife of John Kostenbader of Nazareth, Bernadette Kochan wife of Joseph Kochan of Northampton, Joseph Frisch and Timothy Frisch of Coplay.


She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Allentown and went on to be employed as an attendant at Allentown State Hospital for forty-two years until she retired. Her love for cats prompted her to become the treasurer of the Coplay Feral Cat Committee for many years.


A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037.A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow services at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Coplay. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joan’s memory to Peaceable Kingdom c/o the funeral home.
