Obituary for Joan Ernestine (Scott) Kaplan Storm
Joan Ernestine (Scott) Kaplan Storm, 97 formerly of Danielsville, died Tuesday March 1, 2011 at her residence at Manor Care in Bethlehem. Born in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late John Ludwig and Anna E. (Ernst) Scott. She was the wife of the late Irving Kaplan and the late Roger Storm. Joan worked as a secretary at the former Ribbon Factory in Northampton and the Catasauqua Public Library for many years. She was a former member of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic church of Catasauqua. She is survived by her three daughters Jo Ann Kaplan and Helen Jones of Hartfort, CT and Jean Louise Schrag of Danielsville; step-daughter Patricia Storm of FL and step-son Frank Storm of Allentown; 11 Grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Francis W. Scott. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday March 5th, 2011 at St. Lawrence Church, 1001 Second Street, Catasauqua, 18032. Call from 9:30-10:30am on Saturday at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, 18032. Memorial contributions may be mad in her name to the Catasauqua Public Library, 302 Bridge St. Catasauqua, 18032.
