John E. Muik, Sr., 85, of Coplay, passed away April 6, 2016 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. Born in Longswamp Twp., he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Kegerise) Muik. He was married to Mary Ann (Rutz) Muik for 63 years. A graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School, he retired from Pabst Brewery Co., Fogelsville. A member of the American Legion Post #426, Coplay, he was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Whitehall. Survivors: Wife, daughter, Kathleen wife of Edward J. Betz of Whitehall; grandsons, Anthony and Michael; a great grandson; a great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by a son, John E. Muik, Jr; a brother, Franklin; sisters, Julia Kropf and Doris Miller. Services: Viewing from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 9, St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment, parish cemetery. Contributions: In lieu of flowers to the church c/o Robert A.
