Obituary for John J. Potylycki
John J. Potylycki, 56 years of Center Valley died Thursday August 15, 2013 in the Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach, FL. He was the husband of Chris K. (Konapeyus) Potylycki, who were together for 40 years. Born in Allentown he was the son of Joan (Kohl) Potylycki of Whitehall and the late John J. Potylycki. Fascinated by computers from a young age, John spent his adult life working in the fields of systems analysis and I.T., for the past 17 years at Air Products in the S.E.M.C. Division. John was a philosopher and avid reader. He loved cats, naps, the beach, sweets of all kinds and most of all, joking. Surviving along with his wife and mother are his son Bryan Potylycki and partner Samantha Rowlands. Daughter Rebecca Potylycki and fiancé Jim Brilhart. Brother Jeff Potylycki and his wife Mary Jean. Sisters Lisa Potylycki and Laura Love, and her husband Kelly; sister and brother-in law, Lisa and Kevin Noll; Uncle Tony Kohl. John had one granddaughter, Aria, and 6 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday August 21, 2013 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. His viewing will be held at the funeral home Tuesday August 20th from 7-8:30pm and Wednesday 10-11am prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation c/o the funeral home.
