Obituary for John K. Pierson
John “Jack” K. Pierson, 73, died Monday August 14, 2006 at his residence in North Catasauqua. He was the husband of Anna Mae (Bonshak) Pierson. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Violet (Mahlon) Pierson Barlieb. Retiring in 1985, Jack worked for Bethlehem Steel as a Foreman and Machine Shop Supervisor for 32 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed attending many of the Catasauqua sporting events. Surviving with his wife are his daughters: June and Kevin Bednar of Whitehall; Barbara and George Maureka of Catasauqua; Ann and David Mizur of Bethlehem; sons: Michael D. and Christine of Nazereth; Larry J. and Lori of Northampton; Robert of Catasauqua; brothers: Donald of Saylorsburg; Glenn of Cocoa, FL; sister Gail of Salisbury Township; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be held 11am Saturday August 19, 2006 at the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua. Call from 10:30-11am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, 501 North 17th Street, Ste 212, Allentown, PA. 18104.
