Obituaries
John L. Daub, 92, of Whitehall passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024, at Fellowship Terrace. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Leo Daub and Mary (Sabol) Daub.
He was the husband of Mary (Matika)Daub with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. John was a 1950 graduate of Central Catholic high school. He attended Penn State and received a degree in Drafting.
John served honorably in the U.S. Airforce. He was a design engineer for the automotive industry, retiring in 1987. He was a longtime member of St. John Fisher Church in Catasauqua. He was an usher at the church and loved taking senior citizen bus trips with church Knights of Columbus.
John played the trumpet and played in his school band. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid sports fan; his favorite team being the Phillies. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife, Mary, and many nieces and nephews. There will be a calling period on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at St. John Fisher Catholic Church 1239 Third St., N. Catasauqua from 10:00-11:00 a.m. A mass of Christian burial will follow in the church at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in N. Catasauqua.
