Obituary for John M. "Jack" Scheirer, Sr.
John M. “Jack” Scheirer, Sr.,82 of Hokendaqua, passed away on June 11, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John Q. and Elizabeth (Kern) Scheirer.
He was the husband of Doris E. (Heimbach) Scheirer for whom he shared 59 years of marriage this past February. He was a 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Jack served honorably in the U.S. Airforce and spent one year in Vietnam.
Jack was a maintenance welder for the Schaeffer Brewery and retired after 30 years. Jack kept very active. He loved hunting, bowling and fishing. He enjoyed the outdoors and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Doris, his former daughter in law Dianne Kohler, grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa, Michael and Emily, great grandchildren, Kara and Zander. He was predeceased by his son Michael.
