Obituary for John T. "Tom" Feirick
John “Tom” Feirick, 86, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Jane (Weaver) Feirick. Born in Northumberland, he was son of the late Harry and Dorothy (Marshall) Feirick. John was employed by PPL for 38 years before retiring in 1983. He served in World War II 38th Infantry Division, 149th Anti Tank Corp. in the South Pacific. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Lamberton Lodge F&Am #476, Lancaster; the Scottish Rite Lodge Valley of Lancaster; the Harrisburg Consistory; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Lancaster; Forest #27; Zembo Shriners; L.V. High Twelve Club #493; PPL Le Gen Retirees, PPL Kilawatt Club, American Legion Post #367, Fullerton Veterans of Foreign Wars, Travelers Protective Association Post L. Lehigh Valley. Survivors wife Jane (Weaver) Feirick, son Philip Feirick, and daughters Patricia Hartman and Cheryl Gumulak. Brother Larry Feirick, sisters Anna Binderup, Nancy Anderson, and Mary Eby. 17 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10am Friday July 16th, 2010 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. Call from 9-10am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to the Zimbo Shriners, 2801 North Third Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110-2083.
