Obituary for Joseph C. Duracinsky Jr.
Joseph C. Duracinsky, Jr., 61, of Catasauqua, died Thursday September 6th, 2012 at his home. He is the husband of Grace (Brown) Duracinsky of Catasauqua and they celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary this past August. Born in Allentown, he is the son of the late Joseph C. Sr. and Gertrude A. (Thomas) Duracinsky. Joe worked for 17 years as a drop forger for Phoenix Forge in Catasauqua. He served his country in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Joseph loved his family dearly and was a long time Elvis Presley fan. Surviving along with his wife are a daughter Sheila and husband Joe Vassa of N. Catasauqua and their children Cody and Stone; daughter Cindy Duracinsky and fiancé Jamie Engle of Danielsville and their daughter Allyson, son Joseph M. and wife Amy Duracinsky of N. Carolina and their children Madison, Jacob, Luke and Sophia; sister Darlene Merkel of Coplay and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30pm Monday September 10th, 2012 at Salem U.C.C., 615 Third St. Catasauqua, 18032. A reception and calling period will be held prior to the service from 5-6:30pm Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to the church.
