Obituary for Joseph E. Bodish
Joseph E. Bodish, 87, of Schnecksville, passed away February 24 at home. He was married to Jean (Kehm)Bodish for 62 years. Born in Beersville, he was the son of the late Julius and Sofi (Puskaritz)Bodisch, Sr. A former officer in the Lehigh Valley Tavern Association, he was the proprietor of the Ruchsville Hotel, Joe and Jean's Cafe, Catasuqua, Whitehall Tavern, Cementon, and the Neff's Hotel. He was also employed by JAD Amusement Co., Allentown. Joseph was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay. Survivors: Wife, son, Douglas E. Bodish, husband of the late Anne (Flynn) Bodish of Schnecksville; sister, Hilda Andrew of Saylorsburg. He was preceded in death by brothers, Julius Jr., Richard, and sisters, Anna Hader, Sophie Piller, Rose Tapler. Services: 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 28, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., St. Peter's Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., Coplay, PA. Viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday morning in the funeral home. Interment, St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Whitehall. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, St. Peter's Catholic Church c/o the funeral home 18037.
