Obituaries
Joseph J. Groller, 86, of Coplay died on March 27, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Bethlehem. Born in New York, he was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Switkovitz) Groller.
He was the husband of the late Marie R. (Dougherty) Groller with whom he shared 40 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2002.
Joseph was a cost estimator for Fuller Company/FL Smidth for 35+ years. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s R.C. Church in Coplay. He was a Councilman for 18 years in the borough of Coplay. He was a member of Coplay Lions Club for 40+ years having held various positions. He was a former member of Coplay Community Days Committee and was a member of various clubs in Coplay. He volunteered for his church’s counting group. He was a member of Traveler’s Protective Association for many years.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Jeanine, wife of Keith Davis of Coplay, Melissa of Trexlertown, one granddaughter and three great-granddaughters, his companion Lydia Lesczyszyn of Macungie and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a calling period on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 9-10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s R.C. Church in Coplay. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
