Obituary for Joseph L. Kloiber
Joseph L. Kloiber, 87, of Whitehall died Thursday, September 6, 2007 at his residence. He was the husband of Muriel A. (Howells) Kloiber of Whitehall and would have celebrated 68 years together in December of this year. Born in Allentown he was the son of the late Henry and Julia (Deutsch) Kloiber. Joseph was employed by Bethlehem Steel for 40 years before retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Whitehall. Joseph was a WWII Army veteran having served in Europe with the 28th Division, 109th Infantry Regiment. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star, the European Medal with three battle stars, the victory medal and the good conduct medal. Surviving with his wife are a daughter Joan, wife of Bert McIlhaney of Whitehall; sister Regina Polaha of Whitehall; 2 grand daughters; 1 great grandson; nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home in Catasauqua.
