Obituary for Joseph Mazur
Joseph Mazur, 88 years, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 12th, 2018 in his home. He was the companion of Mary Kraynick of Northampton and the husband of the late Veronica (Hricinak) Mazur. Born in Mt. Carmel, he was the son of the late George and Theresa (Pawelchak) Mazur.
Joseph was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church of Northampton. He was employed by Mack Trucks of Allentown for 38 years before retiring in 1985. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and making pierogies at church.
He was an Army veteran.
Surviving with his companion are brothers George and his wife Sophie of Virginia and Paul of Florida, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Parastas will be held at 10am on Friday March 16th, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church 1343 Newport Ave. Northampton, PA 18067. A viewing will be held from 8:30-9:30am Friday at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037, formerly Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home. Burial will take place in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Cemetery, Northampton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church or Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice, c/o the funeral home.
