Obituary for Joyce V. Yeager
Joyce V. Yeager, 95 of North Catasauqua passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Brookdale Senior Living in Allentown, PA. She was married for 66 years to her beloved husband Joseph who preceded her in death in 2012. Born and raised in North Catasauqua, Joyce was the daughter of the late Howard and Laura (Marsh) Danner of North Catasauqua.
Joyce was employed by Phoenix Clothes and Fuller Sportswear and she owned and operated her own beauty salon in her home for many years. She was a member of St. John’s UCC Howertown. Joyce was a past member of Women of the Moose and Eastern Star. Joyce enjoyed her monthly card club with her close friends and baking Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. Joyce had a warm and welcoming spirit and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Surviving are her sons Gary J. and wife Darcell of Spokane, WA, and Jemy A. and wife Jill of San Diego, CA. daughter Linda L. wife of Joseph Gotzon of Bethlehem, and Lauralee M. wife of Dwight Lederer of Macungie; Sisters Alma and June and brother Woodrow. Many Nieces and Nephews. 10 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12th, 2016 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. Her viewing will be from 10-11am Monday. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Joyce’s name to St. John’s UCC Howertown, 22 Atlas Road, Northampton, PA 18067 or Heartland Hospice, 881 Marcon Blvd., Ste. 3700, Allentown, PA 18109.
