Obituary for Judith Slotcavage Mertz
Judith (Ohmacht) Slotcavage Mertz, 75 years of Catasauqua died Tuesday December 27, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. She was the widow of the late Albert J. Slotcavage and the late Donald L. Mertz. Born in Allentown she was the daughter of the late John and Pearl (Pysher) Ohmacht.
Surviving are daughters Pearl wife of John Prisque, Sandra Slotcavage, Judy Keller, Patricia wife of John Bechtold, son Daniel Slotcavage and Vicki Miller, stepson Lou Mertz, sister Valerie wife of Cirro Mazzio, Roberta wife of Carl Barrell and brother Stewart Ohmacht and daughter in law Cheryl Slotcavage. She has 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death bya son Albert Slotcavage and 3 brothers.
She was a former member of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church of Catasauqua and in 1997 she was inducted into the International Poetry Hall of Fame.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
