Obituary for Judith Tempest Lawall
Judith Tempest Lawall, 67, of Whitehall died in her residence Friday December 7, 2007. She was the wife of the late William H. Lawall Jr. Born in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Comley Q. and Eleanor D. (Wenner) Tempest. Judith was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Whitehall. She received her B.A. in Social Work from Juniata College and her Masters in Education from Kutztown University. She also was a graduate of St. Luke’s School of Nursing, in Bethlehem. Judith worked for over 15 years as the owner and operator of the Peanut Butter and Jelly Nursery and Day Care in Whitehall. She was employed as a registered nurse at Fellowship Manor in Whitehall and was a substitute school nurse for the Allentown and Bethlehem school districts. Surviving are her daughters Heather Tempest and her husband Scott Long of Palmerton; Holly Tempest and her husband Todd Yacynych of Kempton; sons Nathan Lawall of Bethlehem; Seth and his wife Michele Lawall of Whitehall; Adam and his wife Shawn Lawall of Forest Hill, MD; brothers Dr. Bruce D. Tempest; Ronald T. Tempest; Dr. David L. Tempest; Dale P. Tempest; grandchildren Emilee and Telford Yacynych, Jarrett, Joshua and Mackenzie Long and Meredith Myers. Funeral services will be held 11am Wednesday December 12, 2007 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. Call from 10-11am at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the Church Endowment Fund, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, 18052 or the Moncure Community Health Center Memorial Garden Fund care of the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032.
