Obituary for Judy A Heffner
Judy Heffner, 77, of Northampton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on September 5th, 2017, at St. Luke’s Allentown. Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late James and Eleta (Rader) Smith.
She was employed by Acme Markets as a clerk for many years, before taking early retirement to watch her granddaughter. During her years at several locations, she formed many lasting friendships with not only fellow employees, but also customers.
She was a member of St. Paul’s U.C.C. in Northampton, where she enjoyed assisting with the VBS program for several years.
Judy was most proud of being a mother and then a Gma. Her six grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed going to as many of their events as possible and watching 2 of them graduate. Besides spending time with family, her favorite hobby was, by far, shopping. She had a knack for finding the best bargains with her endless stash of coupons.
There are no words to describe how much she will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter Janeen Brida, sons John and his wife Tracy and Jerry, a sister Faye Farkas, and grandchildren Kali, Joelle, Parker, Brooke, Jacob and Paige, and daughter in law Kathleen Heffner. She was predeceased by a sister Karen Geiger. She was also Grandma to granddogs Maddie, Mika, Jack, and Diesel and grandcat Chico.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday September 9, 2017 at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037, formerly Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home. A viewing will be held from 9-11am Saturday in the funeral home. The burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Northampton. She requested donations be made to a scholarship fund for her grandchildren care of the funeral home, as they were most important to her.
