Obituary for Julia H. Lukish
Julia H. Lukish 93 years of Whitehall died Saturday September 5, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospice , Allentown. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul P. Lukish Jr. who died May 23, 1988. Born in Hokendauqua she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Kovach) Repko. Julia enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was wonderful loving, caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Julia was one of the oldest living members of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church of N.Catasauqua. Surviving are daughters Constance wife of Richard Berner with whom she resided, Carol wife of Robert Zimmerman of Allentown. Three grandchildren Mark husband of Robyn of Whitehall, Marcia wife of Kevin Turkovich of Pittsburgh, Jon Zimmerman of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, great grandchildren Megan Berner of Whitehall, Luke and Mark Turkovich of Pittsburgh. Julia was also preceded in death by brothers John and Andrew Repko. Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday September 11, 2009 in St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, N. Catasauqua. Call 8:30am until 9:30am Friday in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Julia’s name to St. Andrew’s Church 1229 Third Street N.Catasauqua, Pa. 18032.
