Obituary for Julie Mary Reightler
Julie Mary Reightler, 87, of Catasauqua passed away on September 20, 2022 at her home by her husband’s side. Born in Bethlehem on January 19, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Szvetecz) Csuk.
She was the wife of William J. Reightler, the love of his life. They would have celebrated 66 years of marriage in October. Their union started at the Frolic Ballroom on Union Blvd. in Allentown listening to Tony Bennett sing.
She was a 1952 graduate of Liberty High School and worked at Mowrer’s Dairy until her first child was born. She had been a long-time Secretary of the Catty Booster Club. She liked to do puzzles and loved the train trips she took in the U.S. and Canada as well as the National Parks.
Julie was a great, loving wife, mother, Grammie and Great-Grammie. She just loved being a Grammie. She would do anything for her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband William, sister, Betty and her husband David of Neptune, N.J., sons, William and wife Donna of Bethlehem, Glenn of Whitehall, Frank and wife Carole of Jim Thorpe, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary, Theresa, Anna, Helen and brother Joe.
A calling period will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA. 18032. A mass of Christian burial will be officiated by Father Eric Tolentino at 11:00 a.m. at St Mary's (Annunciation BVM Church) 122 Union Street Catasauqua, PA. 18032. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice 2455 Black River Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is entrusted with arrangements.
