Obituary for Julius W. Dorner
Julius W. Dorner, 79, of Coplay, passed away July 15, 2015 at home. He was married to Joan L. (Wechsler) Dorner for 58 years. Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Paukovits) Dorner. He was employed by Tarkett Mfg., Coplay Cement Co., retiring from Lafarge Co. A member of Coplay American Legion Post #426, he served in the navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Club of Coplay. Julius was an active member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay. Survivors: Wife; children, Monica wife of David Unangst of Slatington, Lisa wife of Terry Rex of Coplay, Mark and wife Patie of Whitehall, Lydia wife of Jerry Carl of Walnutport, Matthew and wife Saneeta of Whitehall; grandchildren, Jared, Kiel, Chris, Alyssa, T.J., Travis, Alex, Ava, Derek, Mitchell, Timmy, Shalini; great-grandchildren, Julius, Augie, Ayden, Camdyn; sisters, Elizabeth Soltis, Hermina Dorner; brothers, Edward, William. He was predeceased by 10 siblings. Services: Viewing from 8:30-10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 18, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay. Interment, parish cemetery, Whitehall. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to the church c/o the funeral home 18037.
