Obituary for June Hahn
June Hahn, 73 years, of North Catasauqua, died with family by her side at her home Friday March 19th, 2021 after battling cancer for a few years. She was the wife of the late Raymond B. Hahn and celebrated 49 years together before his passing. Born in Teaneck, NJ she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Helen Oren.
June was a graduate of Leonia High School in New Jersey and Ohio University. She went on to teach at the Career Institute of Technology for 20 years before retiring. June volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital for over 20 years, most recently in the Healing Arts. June also volunteered at Arts Quest and the Easton State Theater. She was also a former member of the Catasauqua School Board and the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Council.
June loved being outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, biking, hiking and geocaching. June especially loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is survived by her son Gerald B. Hahn and partner Zoe Driver and daughter Sandra Lower and husband Brian; sisters Marsha Frey and husband Jim, Phyllis Westberg and husband Bill, brother Everett Oren and wife Priscilla; grandchildren Zachery, Brielle and Braeden Lower and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday March 27th, 2021 at Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 4th St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. There will be a calling period at the church from 1-2pm Saturday. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Whitehall. Memorial contributions may be made in June’s name to the church or to the Cancer Support Community of Lehigh Valley, 944 Marcon Blvd. #110, Allentown, PA 18109.
