Obituary for Karen Rae Hart
Karen Rae Hart, 69 years, of Coplay. passed away on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 in her home. She was the wife of Dale A. Hart, celebrating 49 years of marriage last April. Born in Smithfield, PA, she was the daughter of Dolores (Stone) Smith and the late Ray Smith.
Karen was a graduate of the Bucknell School of Banking. She was the Assistant Vice President of Wells Fargo Bank in Whitehall for 32 years before retiring. She was a judge for the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant, a member of the Coplay Parkway Board and a Secretary for the Lehigh Chamber of Commerce.
Karen's sister Judy donated a kidney to her, which allowed her 10 more precious years to spend with her family.
Surviving along with her husband and mother are daughters Lori, wife of Gregory Covell and Lisa, fiancee of Rick Decker, brothers Gary, Ray, Larry, Jeff and Robert, sisters Vivian, Connie, Rhonda, Judy and Janice, and grandchildren Rhyannon and Jeremi. She was predeceased by 2 brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5pm on Thursday February 22nd, 2018 at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037, formerly Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home. There will be a calling hour from 4-5pm on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation c/o the funeral home.
