Kathi Oswald, 91, formerly of Stiles, passed away on December 28, 2023, at her home in Germansville surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late John “Hans” Oswald with whom she shared 56 years of marriage before his passing in June of 2012. Born in Leogang, Salzburg, Austria, she was the daughter of the late Ägidius and Susanna (Aigner) Müllauer.
Kathi worked as a sewing machine operator at Modern Slack Creations and a support partner at Lehigh Valley Hospital for many years before her retirement. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall. Kathi’s heart remained in her beloved home country of Austria, where much of her family still resides. She was a kind and generous person who found joy in helping others, cooking and baking. Above all, Kathi’s greatest love was her family, and she cherished spending quality time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Kathi will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Martina, wife of Randy Remaly of Germansville; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Julia Remaly of Germansville; and sisters, Berta Mayr and Susanna Zöggeler both of Austria. She was predeceased by her brothers Ägidius and Hansjörg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 PM on Thursday, January 4th, 2024, at St. John The Baptist R.C.C., 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall, PA 18052.
