Obituary for Kathleen C. Kraynek
Kathleen C. Kraynek, 83 of Catasauqua died Monday September 24th, 2012 at Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of George R. Kraynek, Sr. of Catasauqua, to whom she was married for 63 years. Born in Catasauqua, on October 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Yost) Pascoe. She was a life-long member of St. Mary’s R.C. in Catasauqua. She was a 1947 graduate of Catasauqua High School. She retired in 1984 after 22 years of service from Western Electric/AT&T. Kathleen loved gardening, reading and brisk walks early in the morning. She was a die-hard Eagles fan. Surviving along with her husband are a son George Jr. and wife Susan of Kutztown; daughters Barbara and husband Larry Ritter of Whitehall, Kathleen and husband Anthony Vaglica of Silver Spring, MD; grandchildren Jason Kraynek of Chicago, IL., Andrew Kraynek and wife K’La of El Cerrito, CA. Adam Huffort and wife Cyrena of Coplay, Ryan Huffort of Whitehall, Tara Vaglica and Anthony Vaglica of Silver Spring, MD; great grandchildren Jocelyn and Nathan Huffort of Coplay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Saturday September 29th, at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 2nd & Union Streets, Catasauqua, 18032. Her viewing will be held from 8:30-9:30am at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St., Philadelphia, PA 19106.
