Obituary for Kathy A. Richards
Kathy A. Richards, 56 years, of Walnutport, died Sunday April 30th, at her home. She was the wife of Thomas W. Richards of Walnutport. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Betty (Gower) DiGiacinto of Stiles and the late Frederick Nipples.
Kathy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Whitehall. She worked as a receptionist and secretary for 10 years for Action Machinery in Bethlehem. Prior to that she was a receptionist for Crowder Jr. in Allentown. Kathy’s greatest love were her dog Colin and her two cats Sunny and Buda. She loved all animals, was an advocate for rescue shelters and would happily greet every animal that crossed her path. Kathy also loved going to flea markets and yard sales.
Surviving along with her husband Tom and her mother Betty are her sister Diane Yurasits and husband Louis; brothers Daniel Gower and companion Judy Trimble, Joseph Gower and wife Donna, and Frederick Gower and wife Heather and her loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Friday May 5th, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall, PA 18052. Her viewing will be from 8:30-10:30am Friday at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 327 CHESTNUT ST. COPLAY, PA, 18037, formerly Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made payable to the family care of the funeral home.
