Obituary for Lambert Bloszinsky, Jr
Lambert"Chops" Bloszinsky, Jr., 82, of Whitehall, died July 1, 2014 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. He was married to Patricia E. (Karabin)Bloszinsky for 58 years. Born in Ormrod, he was the son of the late Lambert and Irene (Kochenash) Bloszinsky, Sr. A 1949 graduate of South Whitehall High School, he was a metallurgist at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp., Bethlehem for 35 years. A member of the American Legion Post #0945, he served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton. Survivors: Wife, son, Robert J. Bloszinsky and his wife, Loree of Bethlehem; daughter, Michele wife of George R. Groom if York; granddaughter, Kelly E. Groom; sister, Paulette Kovacs of Whitehall; nieces, nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Irene Paules. Services: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m, St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1343 Newport Ave, Northampton. Viewing from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment with military honors, St. John the Baptist Cementery, Northampton. Contributions: In lieu of flowers to the church c/o the funeral home.
