Obituary for Larry W. "Hug" Snyder, Jr.
Larry W. “Hug” Snyder Jr., 44, of Catasauqua passed away in his home on July 16th, 2018. He was the son of Shirley Snyder and the late Larry W. Snyder Sr. of Catasauqua. He was born in Allentown on January 12th, 1974. Larry owned his own successful contracting business for many years but most recently owned and ran a Sober Living home in Allentown. It brought him immense gratification to help anyone he could in any way possible. He was a devoted son, Uncle and most importantly a father to three children which he adored. Most of his time was spent with them fishing, four wheeling or doing some other type of adventure that brought them joy.
He is survived by: his mother Shirley Snyder and sister, Patricia Gulich both of Catasauqua; three beloved children, Larry R. Snyder of Catasauqua and Aviana and Malachi Snyder as well as their mother Ria Castronova of Northampton; four nieces, Amanda Vazquez, wife of Anthony Vazquez of Catasauqua; JoAnne Kent wife of Michael Kent of Oak Grove, Kentucky; Jessica Stock, fiancé of Alexander Krause; and Katie Arguilla, fiancé of John Haklar, all of Catasauqua; Uncle, Richard Snyder and wife Janet of Alburtis; and Aunt, Ruth Lesko wife of Jeffrey Lesko of Northampton. As well as many great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Larry W. Snyder Sr.; his grandmother Dorothy Hersh; and his Uncle Wayne Snyder.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Friday July 20, 2018 at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. There will be a calling period from 10-11am on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to AA of the Lehigh Valley, 2285 Schoenersville Rd. Suite 208 Bethlehem, PA 18017.
