Obituary for Laura Ann Erie
Laura A. (Grice) Erie, 33 of Catasauqua, was called to her heavenly home on May 19, 2008. Born on October 16, 1974 in Allentown, Laura lived most of her young life in Whitehall. She attended Whitehall/Coplay schools, and in high school participated in chorus & drama. Laura also was a member of the Our Father’s House youth group, traveling to many events with her friends. Graduating in 1992 from Whitehall/Coplay High School, she soon married William L. Erie on October 6, 1994. She worked in the customer service/sales department of many local companies. Will and Laura reconnected to her home church, Our Father’s House in Catasauqua, where they became active members. Laura was best known for her outgoing and irrepressible spirit, bringing joy to her church family and hope to those special kids she sought out and brought to church. She served the church family as a member of the Praise Team and spent many hours doing the church bulletin and other duties for the pastor. Surviving with her husband Will, are her parents, Al and JoAnn (Grice) Wexler of Whitehall; sisters, Jennifer Holtzman of Slatington and Joellen Wexler of Plainville, CT; brother, Alex Wexler of Whitehall; niece, Denise Murden of Slatington; nephew, Isaiah Bandle of Plainville, CT; and many aunts, uncles & cousins. Funeral services will be held 11am, Friday May 23rd, 2008 at Our Father’s House, 706 Bath Avenue, Catasauqua, PA. Call from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Father’s House for a memorial project in her name. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
