Leon M. Galitsky, Sr., 85, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, at Fellowship Manor in Whitehall. Born in Shenandoah, PA. he was the son of the late Leo and Julia (Wojtowicz) Galitsky.
He was the husband of Jeanette (Stumpf) Galitsky and would have shared 56 years of marriage this May.
Leon served proudly in the US Navy. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University. Leon was employed at Bethlehem Steel and retired in 1988.
He was a longtime member of St. Peter’s R.C. Church in Coplay. Leon enjoyed fishing, bowling, and golf. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette Galitsky, his son Leon M. Galitsky, Jr. and his daughter Christina Galitsky. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
