Obituary for Leonard M. "Lucky" Loch
Leonard M. “Lucky” Loch, 88 years, of Catasauqua, died Saturday March 9th 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Doris E. (Heimbach) Loch and celebrated 57 years together before she died in 2008. Born in Catasauqua he was a son of the late Charles and Mabel Loch. Leonard served as a Corporal in Company D, 532nd Engineer Boat and Shore Regiment of the Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He worked for 45 years as a mechanic in the plate room for the former Fuller Co. in Catasauqua before he retired in 1990. Leonard also worked part time for Ray, David and Dan Reed Plumbing. He was an avid bowler and Phillies fan. He enjoyed going to the casinos, watching NASCAR and buying lottery tickets. Surviving are his sons Gregory Loch and wife Deborah of Moore Township and Jeffrey Loch and companion Margie Kidd of Nazareth; grandsons Jason Loch and Christopher Loch and companion Lori; great grandson Matthew Loch and 1 sister. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday March 14th, 2013 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. His viewing will be from 10-11am Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to the Catasauqua American Legion Post #215, 330 2nd St. Catasauqua, 18032.
