Lester was a 1959 graduate of Bangor High School and went on to honorably serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959-1963 during the Vietnam War.
Lester was an avid golfer and liked to hunt. He enjoyed shooting archery. He was a Commandant of Marine Corps of League 284. He was also a member of IUOE Local 542 for Operators & Engineers.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him; especially his dog, Bree.
Survivors including his wife Nancy include son, Anthony Perelli, and wife Jacki; daughters; Angela Perelli-Smith, Audrey Perelli, Andrea Perelli-Mains; brother; Dennis Perelli; grandchildren; Justin Smith, Jessica Smith, Julie Smith, Jada Smith, Tyler Dunn, Dominque Mains, Brennen Mains, Skyla Perelli; great grandchildren; Aylah Grays, Javonnah Smith, Sophia Harris and Cameron Harris.
A calling period will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021, 5-7 PM at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. Coplay. 327 Chestnut Street, Coplay, PA. 18037. Funeral Service to follow at the funeral home at 7 pm.
An interment of military honors will be held on Tuesday, August 10th at 11:30 A.M. at Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Marine Corps League Bethlehem Detachment 7643 Carlton Road Coopersburg, PA. 18036-9270 c/o the funeral home.
