Obituaries
Lewis C. Newhard, 82 of Northampton, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of Carl Hoffman and June Moreland.
He was the partner of Alice K. Wolf and shared 30 years together. Lewis was a Sargeant and served honorably in the US Navy in Vietnam. He was a technician at Lucent Technologies for 41 years before retiring in 2001.
He was a member of Delaware Valley Historic Radio Club (DVHRC)for many years. He was a longtime member of The American Legion for 54 years.
Lewis loved to repair antique radios. His love for radios commenced when he worked in a radio shop after school. He started the Kutztown Radio show with several of his friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He will be lovingly remember by his partner, Alice K. Wolf, daughter, Suzanne Grischott, half brother Al Row and fur babies Sly and Katie.
A calling period will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 09:30-10:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Whitehall. A graveside funeral service officiated by Pastor Stephen Emick will commence at 10:00 a.m.
