Obituary for Linda A. Smith
Linda A. Smith, 72 years formerly N. Catasauqua died Saturday August 29, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospice, 17th and Chew Street Allentown. Born in Allentown she was the daughter of the late Harold and Hilda (Brown) Carl. She was the widow of the late Roy R. Smith Jr. who died January 5, 2013.
Linda was a member of the Old Zion’s Stone United Church of Christ, Kreidersville. She had been employed in the 1970’s as a clerk for the former Two Guys Department Store and then retired from Toy R Us after 24 years of service. She was a 1961 Catasauqua High School graduate.
Surviving is son Kevin M. Smith of Lehighton, daughters Lisa Schaeffer and her husband Tom of Allentown, Treena Haggerty and her husband John of Lehigh Twsp., Amy George and her husband Mike of Allentown, sister Marlene Hilt and her husband Gene of Saylorsburg, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and nieces and nephews.
As for the wishes of their mother, funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is in charge of arrangements.
