Obituary for Lois A. Bidlow
Lois A. Bidlow, 81 years, of Allentown, died Wednesday June 6th, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Howard F. Bidlow. Born in Mechanicsville, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Alice (Haldaman) Ruch.
Lois worked as a deli clerk and cashier for Stravino’s Italian Market in Allentown for many years before retiring. Prior to that she worked for Penn State Mills as a seamstress. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Stare, Rose Croix Chapter 235. Lois was a lifetime member of the Franklin Fire Co. of Allentown where she enjoyed bowling.
Surviving are her son Keith Bidlow and wife Kathleen; brothers Donald Ruch and wife Joyce, Leonard Ruch and wife Judy; sisters Lottie Gessner and husband Phillip, Eleanor Kressley, Edna Eck, Linda Hyrowich, and Sharon Mistishen and husband Michael; grandchildren Brian, Eric, Joseph, Jared and Janelle; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Zernhelt and brothers Harold, Dale, Robert, and Russell Ruch.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, June 12th, 2018 at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. Her viewing will be from 10-11am Tuesday at the funeral home.
