Obituary for Louise E. Kropf
Louise E. Kropf, 101 years, formerly of Coplay, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Kropf. Born in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Robert I. and Clara (Moyer) Trankley.
Louise was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Coplay, where she sang on the choir for more than 60 years. A 1932 graduate of Coplay High School, she was employed as a processor for the former Newhart's Foods in Coplay for many years before retiring. She was a volunteer coordinator for many years at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Louise was an avid reader and sports fan, always looking forward to watching the Yankees, Penn State and Villanova games.
Survivors include a son Richard and his wife Kathleen of Northampton, daughters-in-law Bethany Kropf of Rolette, TX and Judy Kropf of Whitehall, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She was predeceased by sons Bob and Jack, brothers Allan and Raymond, sisters Mary Alice, Dorothy and Ruth, and granddaughters Kathy and Jacqueline.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday January 23rd, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church 18 S. 3rd St. Coplay, PA 18037. A calling period will be held from 10-11am Tuesday at the church. Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037, formerly Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church, c/o the funeral home.
