Obituary for Lucille J. Remington
Lucille J. Remington, 88 years of Catasauqua, died Thursday September 20th, 2012 at her residence. She was the wife of the late John “Jack” L. Remington. Born in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Anna M. (Naylor) Kidd. Lucille was a member of Zion U.C.C. in Kriedersville. She worked for the former L.F. Grammes of Allentown. She was also the owner and operator of the former White Elephant Antique Shop in Cementon. Lucille was an avid bridge player and enjoyed bird watching, gardening and cooking. Surviving are her son Dana and wife Linda Schmall; daughter Robin and husband Edward Swartley; son John L. and wife Debrah Remington; and daughter Gale Remington; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Glenn Rice at 11:00am Friday September 28th, 2012 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. Her viewing will be from 10:00am until 11:00am Friday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice or to the church care of the funeral home. The family would like to thank Lucille’s loving friends for all their time and support.
