Obituary for Ludwig Karner
Ludwig Karner, 75, of Coplay, passed away Saturday, Dec 24, 2016 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, with his family by his side. He was married to Barbara A. (Bodisch) for 53 years. Born in Coplay, he was the son of the late Ludwig Sr. and Mary (Kanyuk) Karner. A graduate of Coplay High School and Bethlehem Business School, he was a business law and IBM keyboard instructor at the Bethlehem Business School until its closing. Later, he was a billing clerk at PPL, Allentown until disabled by a stroke. He formerly was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Catholic Church, N. Catasauqua. Survivors: Wife, sons, Brian L. and Patrick J., both of Coplay; sister, Alice Groso of Idaho; brother-in-law Ed Bodisch and wife Marlene of Whitehall. He was predeceased by sister, Mary Ann; grandparents, Charles and Anna Kanyuk; in-laws, Edward and Helen Bodisch. His beloved dog and constant companion, Duffy. Services: Viewing from 10-11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Service at 11:00 a.m., the Rev. Andrew Lowe, officiating. Interment, Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery, N. Catasauqua. Contributions: to Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association c/o the funeral home 18037.
