Obituary for Mae A. Hart
Mae A. (Scheirer) Hart, 93 years old from Allentown PA, with her family holding her hands, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 19, 2021. She was the wife of the late Alvin S. Hart for 62 loving years until his passing in March 2016. Born in N. Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Agnes (Gross) Scheirer.
A lifelong member of 1st Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, she sang on the choir, played piano, was in Easter & Christmas pageants, and taught Sunday School. She was a member of Lehigh Co. Active Life & an avid pinochle player. She was a class of 1945 Whitehall graduate. Survived by sister-in-law Edith Scheirer. Predeceased by brothers J. Richard Scheirer & Ronald (Donna) Scheirer. She was a friend to all & remember everyone’s birthdays.
She leaves behind son Brian Hart (Joann), daughter Diane Wehr (Timothy), grandchildren Rachel Hart-Edwards(Jeff), Brianna Hart-Schlappich(Tim), Steven Wehr (Janessa), Alison Alcott (Derreck).
Per her wishes, private graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery W. Catasauqua, at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Memorial Fund of 1st Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, 3005 S Front St, Whitehall, PA 18052.
