Obituary for Margaret S. "Peggy" Gogle
Margaret “ Peggy” S. Gogle, 92 years of Catasauqua died January 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of Sterling C. Gogle for 72 years. Born in Hokendauqua she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Junkin) Everett.
Margaret was a very active member of Christ United Church of Christ, Schoenersville where she was on the building committee, taught Sunday School and served on many other committees. She was employed by the Borough of Catasauqua as a billing clerk and worked in the Scheckler Elementary School as a cafeteria worker. Peggy was active in the PTA and the Catasauqua Band Parents.
Surviving with her husband Sterling C. Gogle Sr. are daughters Barb wife of Chuck Woodley, Pam wife of Craig Seyfried, Kim wife of Scott Scheirer and her son Sterling C. Gogle Jr. She was a doting grandmother to her 6 grandchildren Kara, Brett, Jared, Craig, Dawn and Lauren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers Dr. Harold Everett and Ralph Everett and sisters Marian Machum and Ruth Yackle.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 16, 2017 in Christ United Church of Christ 5050 Airport Road Allentown, Pa. 18109. Call 10:00 am until 11:00 am Monday in the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the church or Fellowship Manor, 3000 Fellowship Road, Whitehall, PA 18052. The Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is in charge of arrangements.
