Obituaries
Margaret A. Beslanovits, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away on November 14, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg. Formerly of Hokendauqua, she was the daughter of the late Ignatz Stangl and Agnes (Hacker) Stangl.
She was the wife of William J. Beslanovits with whom she celebrated 72 years of marriage in September of this year. Marge was a longtime and devoted member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Coplay. There she spent many years as a member of the Rosary Society and was one of the most familiar faces in “Pierogatory.” Sacred Heart Hospital was lucky to have her as a volunteer, where she spent some of her happier hours (and a lot of her own money) in the gift shop.
She loved playing bingo and was so happy to play regularly again with her new friends at Traditions. She was a fantastic baker and pogatchel maker and her family looked forward to their custom boxes of Easter candy every year.
Above all things, she adored her family. Visits from her friends and relatives made her incredibly happy. She will be missed by so many whose lives she touched with her kindness.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Susan (Bill) Ehritz, Karen (Perry) Schaffer, Bill (Lisa) Beslanovits, and Lori (Rob) Reitenauer; her grandchildren Emily, Gretchen, Carly, Steven, Ellen, Bailey, and Nathan; and great grandchildren Penny, Juliette and Danny. She was predeceased by four brothers and five sisters.
Call times will be 9:30 to 10:30 am on Monday, November 20, 2023 at St. Peter’s RCC, 4 S. 5th Street, Coplay, PA 18037. Mass to immediately follow.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made directly to the church. Online memories and condolences for the family may be shared at www.brubakerfuneralhome.com. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Coplay is entrusted with arrangements.
