Obituary for Marilyn J. Smicker
Marilyn J. Smicker, 82, of Coplay, died May 22, 2014 at home. She was married to Michael Smicker for 60 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mabel (Bender) Smicker. She was an utility operator for the former AT&T Microelectronics, Allentown retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Coplay. Marilyn was a loving, kind, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a heart of gold that touched many lives and will forever be greatly missed. A dog lover, she will be deeply missed by her four grandogs, especially, Lucy. Survivors: Husband, son, Glenn Smicker and wife, Marci of Whitehall; daughters, Michele wife of Carl Schmall of Whitehall, Mary wife of Michael Dobish of Northampton, Monica wife of John Pavolko of Coplay; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Harold and Sherwood. Services: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2014, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay with the Rev. Timothy D. Boyer, officiating. Call 9 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday preceding the service. Interment, Coplay Cemetery.
