Obituary for Marion A. Hottenstein
Marion A. Hottenstein, 94, formerly of Bethlehem, died Saturday December 12th, 2020 at home in Catasauqua where she was cared for by her daughter and son in law. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Hermione (Podolak) Lavinger.
Marion worked for herself for many years as a seamstress and enjoyed sewing all her life. Marion grew up loving to dance with her brother and sisters and continued to dance well in to her 80’s.
Marion was loved by her daughter, granddaughter and son in law and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Berkner and husband David; granddaughter Tehya Berkner; brother Joseph Lavinger Jr, (97) and wife Mary of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her late husband John Hottenstein; as well as her daughter’s father and late husband, Joseph Anderko; four sisters: Dolly Bellizzi, Dolores Magan, Judy Hoof and Elaine Ungurean.
Due to COVID restrictions, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements will be announced by family at a later date.
